How to Prepare for Your First Personal Training Session

Your first conversation and session help us understand where you are, where you want to go and how training can fit into your life.

Know your goal

Think about what you want to achieve and whether you have a deadline. Goals can include fat loss, strength, confidence, mobility, performance or simply feeling healthier.

Share relevant health information

Tell your trainer about injuries, pain, medication and medical conditions. Honest information helps us make safer decisions. Seek medical clearance where appropriate.

Bring your availability

Have a realistic idea of the days, times and locations that work for you. Consistency matters more than choosing an “ideal” schedule you cannot maintain.

Arrive ready to learn

Wear comfortable training clothes, bring water and arrive a few minutes early. Your first session is not a test—it is the beginning of a programme designed around you.
